METALCON is dedicated to making 2021 the safest event you attend all year.
We are only 14 days away from bringing the metal construction industry back together for the first time in two years and want you to know the health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, partners and staff is our top priority.
We are continuously monitoring the COVID-19 situation and working with the city of Tampa and the Tampa Convention Center to follow best practices and recommendations from public health officials, as well as national, state, regional, and local authorities including the CDC. As such, and in following CDC guidelines, METALCON strongly recommends all individuals, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, to wear a mask, maintain social distancing, regularly clean hands, and mask regardless of vaccination status when you are in large gatherings.Continue reading

You won’t waste time running around looking for different rooms — you’ll find everything in one place including larger directional aisles for ease of navigation. As released by the Metal Roofing Alliance (MRA), August 18, 2021:
The start of fall season is typically the time to prepare for colder weather, but with a changing climate, many regions are now experiencing hotter weather patterns that stretch far longer into the year, making home air conditioning systems not just a nice to have, but a need to have for families everywhere. That increasing demand is why the Metal Roofing Alliance (MRA) is calling on federal, state and local governments and utilities to take more action to help incentivize homeowners to make smart, energy efficient decisions when it comes to home building and remodeling practices.Continue reading
Last week the New York Times reported, “The Biden administration released a blueprint showing how the nation could move toward producing almost half of its electricity from the sun by 2050 — a potentially big step toward fighting climate change but one that would require vast upgrades to the electric grid.” The Energy Department laid out an ambitious blueprint for solar power to go from 4% to 45%.
Join us next month at METALCON where solar will take center stage with its new S-5! sponsored SOLAR EDUCATION CENTER, a dedicated pavilion to discover how solar and metal go hand-in-hand and to learn how to capitalize on the opportunities it present through a variety of exhibits, educational sessions, live demos, and solar trivia games.Continue reading

Do you offer game-changing metal construction and design solutions? Are your products and services ready to meet the pent-up demand of eager buyers seeking new innovations? Are you ready to get back to business with a SAFE return to in-person meetings?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, it’s time to exhibit at METALCON 2021! As vaccinations continue to roll out and concerns of the spread of the virus cautiously ease, in-person events are slowly resuming including trade shows. Recently, a trio of fashion shows was held in early February at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. Trade Show News Network reported, “With the tactile nature of the fashion industry, many buyers and exhibitors were eager to move their networking and deal brokering back to an in-person format.” Not unlike the fashion industry, the metal construction industry has also thrived when buyers have the opportunity to see the products demonstrated in person.Continue reading
