So yes we missed Throwback Thursdays yesterday so we are doing a rewind on it. Today we have a photo from probably 1983, just kidding looks to be mid 1990’s with the hair and bangs. You’ll recognize a few faces here, both past and present METALCON staff, Claire Kilcoyne, Suzanne Maher, Paula Parker, and Andrea Nenopoulos. We have to say we are loving Andrea’s 1980’s tribute hair style and NASCAR victory flag jacket.
I know about a month or two ago I was on a big kick on metal theft and I stopped blogging about it. So since I was feeling bit nostalgic here is a video from a theft last month. I am amazed these people are still getting away with things like this.
Saw this video this morning and it looks like it is starting to go viral, well maybe not. So this construction worker who is very handy in many trades looks like he literally put the Metal right into Construction with his skills combined with some Slayer music. I have to say I never listened to that type of music, but we do have a staffer here who listens to this loud, hard on the ears music. Take a look at the video and let me know what you think.
So earlier this week I had posted a video about welder’ careers and then I ran into this video today. While some of this is not construction related you have to believe that these welding professionals can quickly adapt to any type of industry and job. Take a look at how they started and what they currently do by watching this video. Best line of the video is, “if you want to build something bad enough you have to learn to weld.”
Yes going to try to do another one today and in the spirit of July 4th let’s talk about our friend “ME.” Me was born back in 2013 and has grown up quickly to travel the world. Take a look at the photos through the years Continue reading
The response on the post I did previously has been outstanding so I wanted to include another one. Again these videos are not mine but you can get more information once you get to the YouTube site. These videos are great for our future tradesmen, tradeswomen, and students to watch.
I’ve been thinking about some new features for the blog and will begin using some of the ideas I have come with in the next week. I’d also like to open this up to anyone that Continue reading

Yesterday was day 1 of the Western Roofing Expo and we talked to quite a few people yesterday. One conversation really struck me more than any other I had yesterday. I was speaking with a gentleman from San Diego who is a Continue reading

I meant to post this yesterday but waited until today. Looks like that copper shortage may be coming quicker than we might expect after a surplus the last few years. So how do you Continue reading
So I know this may not be huge headlines in the construction industry but I do know that many of us wear jeans. Many of us even wear them on the work site because of the comfort aspect. I guess the question I now pose is Continue reading
