The Metal Construction Association’s Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) Alliance comprises of leading manufacturers, material suppliers, and resellers who are dedicated to growing and increasing the use of IMP’s in the construction marketplace. Appearing for the FIRST TIME at METALCON 2021, the MCA IMP Alliance will bring together six independent brands of leading insulated metal wall and roof panels in one pavilion. This will be a rare opportunity to see six major brands that produce 85-90% of all IMPs shipped in the US and Canada — together, in one place, at METALCON. What? METALCONLive! Presents: Can You Afford NOT to Have Diversity in Your Workforce?
WHERE? Live on ZOOM using your computer, tablet or smart phone
WHEN: TODAY at 1 PM EST
Study after study has concluded that there is a clear link between workplace diversity, increased productivity, and the bottom line. In fact, according to a study by Forbes, companies with a diverse workforce produce 19% more in earnings than their less diverse counterparts. You need talented workers now more than ever. So why, at a time when the skilled labor shortage is hitting the construction particularly hard, do woman make up just 9% of the US construction industry workforce? You simply can’t afford NOT to diversify your workforce!
Join us next Wednesday, November 4 when Heidi Ellsworth, partner of RoofersCoffeeShop®, founder of National Women in Roofing (NWIR) and of Roofing Technology Think Tank (RT3) and past METALCON speaker, will moderate this important subject that profoundly impacts our industry; the challenges, benefits, rewards, and strategies associated with recruiting and retaining top talent in today’s market.

In celebration of National Roofing Week, we are proud to bring you an amazing story about a collaborative effort being done in Pennsylvania to promote diversity in work force development. ATAS International, one of METALCON’s long-standing exhibitors, was once again involved in their local “Let’s Build Construction Camp for Girls” last month. This year, the “advanced camp” group designed and constructed a shed from the ground up, as part of a Habitat for Humanity fundraiser, including the installation of an ATAS metal roof. Now in its fourth year, this annual event serves as a way for the design and construction community in the Lehigh Valley Pennsylvania area to promote work force development for the industry as a whole.
