In honor of World Hunger Day 2022, occurring annually on May 28, we invite you to join METALCON’s 20+ year history of “giving back” to communities in need by helping us “use the power of food to nourish the world.” This year, we have partnered with the World Central Kitchen (WCK), and have already began to send donations given the urgency of the ongoing events happening in the Ukraine.

Since the conflict began on February 24 when Russia invaded Ukraine, more than one million Ukrainians have been forced to flee their homes, with many traveling for days without food. Founder of WCK, Chef Jose Andres, and his team quickly mobilized and to date, have brought hundreds of thousands of daily meals and 17 million pounds of food to over 3,000 distribution sites in the Ukraine and neighboring countries. They have served 34 million meals across eight countries.
Since their founding in 2010, World Central Kitchen has provided tens of millions of fresh, nourishing meals for communities in need around the world. Let’s work together to send $5,000 to WCK to help these communities in need. Due to the urgency of the situation, METALCON will send donations to WCK starting now through October 1.
