METALCON Honors our Veterans

Honoring our veterans has been a core value of the METALCON community since the show’s Give Back program began in 1995. Over the years, the METALCON community has generously donated to organizations dedicated to serving the veterans including Home for our Troops, America’s Fund and most recently, the Veterans Leadership Program of Western Pennsylvania, when METALCON held the show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2019.

When we look back over METALCON’s 30-year history, part of the “most memorable METALCON moments,” includes when a steel framed house was constructed on the show floor in years 2006, 2007 and 2008 for the organization Home for our Troops. In 2006, it was built for SSG Paul Russell Marek; in 2007, it was built for 23 year-old Marine Corps Cpl. Evan Morgan, Bakersfield, CA; and in 2008, for U.S. Army Specialist David Battle.

On behalf of the METALCON team, we hope you will take a few moments today to honor all those who have served our country.
