MMM – The Magnificence of Giving Back

Continuing METALCON’s 20-year history of “giving back ,” this year’s fundraising efforts at METALCON 2019 will benefit the Veterans Leadership Program of Western Pennsylvania (VLP) , a 501c(3) veteran-centric nonprofit organization headquartered in Pittsburgh. VLP’s mission is to empower veterans to navigate life’s transitions. While at METALCON, make a donation of $20 or more and be eligible to win one of the awesome prizes that will be given away (must be present to win).

Founded in 1982 as the Vietnam Veterans Leadership Program of Western Pennsylvania, Inc., VLP was born of the socioeconomic crisis created by the collapse of the steel industry throughout Western Pennsylvania. Rocky Bleier, four-time NFL Superbowl Champion and running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers will present a keynote address on heroism, determination, teamwork, and leadership at METALCON 2019, sponsored by U.S. Steel. A veteran himself, VLP is near and dear to Bleier’s heart.

Each year, METALCON gives back to the local community where the show takes place. This year’s giving back program will raise money for essential housing, employment, and vital supportive services for eligible Pittsburgh-area veterans, service members, and their families with the goal of improving their self-sufficiency, sustainability, and quality of life.

Donate $20 or more for your chance to win NFL and NHL autographed memorabilia. Click HERE to donate today or donate at The METALCON Deck!

Since METALCON’s “Give Back” program began in 1995, the show has proudly donated upwards of a half a million dollars in goods, services and/or funds to non-profit organizations and worthy causes serving local host communities. For a glimpse at the show’s giving history, click HERE.
